The migrant crisis is a direct consequence of the civil war in Syria. The Czech government agreed to take in close to 2,700 refugees by the end of 2017 from the countries most burdened by the migrant crisis – Greece and Italy (http://www.radio.cz/en/section/curraffrs/admission-of-quota-refugees-off-to-slow-start-in-the-czech-republic).
