The international community does not recognise the so-called “presidential and parliamentary elections” held in Donetsk and Luhansk ‘People’s Republics’ on 2 November 2014. These were held contrary to the letter and the spirit of the Minsk Protocol, signed within the framework of the Trilateral Contact Group, and obstructing efforts to find a sustainable political solution to the crisis.
